Domestic energy consumption represents a sizeable proportion of the total energy use in the United States. Studies show that the energy uses behavior in residences has additional impacts on energy efficiency. Domestic Energy efficiency is referred to as how individuals use the energy in homes – the measure used to conserve energy and also the type of appliances in the homes. The energy use behavior identifies energy wasting patterns such as leaving the lights on in unoccupied rooms or day lit rooms, wasteful use of running water, leaving doors wide open etc |
